recommended for ALUMINUM
As advised by books and teachers alike, using Zirconiated seems to much more stable on the Aluminum tokens we weld in class. I have been using Thoriated 3/32 and even 1/16 electrodes on 1/16 aluminum tokens in class and i have to say i haven't contaminated a single Zirconiated electrode so far. Although i have been a little more cautious i feel these strike an arc alot cleaner and directly than the Thoriated Tungstens. plus the tips dont ball up as fast(major plus) when using a pointed tip.
