Yes it is pricey. do we think it's worth the price - I'm afraid so. This isn't for your average DIY person.
This is a tool for professionals. We've owned Fein AC powered Supercuts for decades and when we saw this one come out couple years ago, wound up waiting 5 months to receive our purchase (1st one sold in the USA they had no stock yet!) Can't tell you how I pleaded to try and purchase the demo one I tried out! (And yes this female knows a sweet well made power tool when she tries it out)
Now 2 years down the line after using this tool what do I (we) think? Working custom flooring (and tile) which can involve just about anything . . . We rarely leave home without it! Only issue we've found . . Which one of us gets to use it!! We sort of feel a little badly (very little) that we are neglecting our older Fein AC models!
I'm not saying the oscillating cutting tools sold in the box stores aren't probably are acceptable. But no way could any compare with this hard core...
