Solid tool
I picked up this kit over a year and a half ago after my primary client bought his second business which is made entirely of cinder blocks. Not only can this thing handle cinder blocks on the hammer setting, it rips through anything I can throw at it including 6 inches of aged basement slab. Obviously, the nicad packs are heavier than more modern lithium ones, but the added weight is just what I wanted in a hammer/heavy duty drill. They also seem to charge pretty quickly, about 30-45 min. The replacement batteries for life deal helped negate my concerns about the lifespan of the nicad packs. I've used this drill on countless projects over the last 1.5 years, including running about 1,500 3" deck screws on a subflooring job, and it is still in fine shape. Excellent tool for a middle weight professional.
