Useful with one flaw
Good tool for light soldering work BUT one big problem is the butane filler tip. It is odd size so that all my different butane canisters just spritz and spray. I have not found a tip that will form a good seal for refilling. Even Benzomatic butane won't provide a secure fill connection. Better alternatives out there for a small, cordless solder iron.

great little torch
I bought this the other day and use it to shrink parachute cord which I make bracelets out of. I used the blower and it worked great in shrinking the nylon casing. This was a seller to me, the blower attachment..I have not seen any other unit with a blower but there must be others....and refueling was no problem at all. fills up in a matter of seconds. I would highly recommend this micro torch.

Pretty awesome mini torch
I bought this particular model at a home improvment store. I was very excited to try it out and found it worked better than any high amp electrical model I have used. The torch melts aluminu as well as shatters glass. I use it to wire batterys and it heats up in about 30 seconds and melts the solder immediately on contact, saving me alot of time.

You may be wondering why I gave it a 3 out of 5 at this point. As I used it more and more (which was everyday) for about a month. I noticed its flame slowly die down more and more, rendering the 1,2, and 3 settings inadequate to heat anything, however when I first bought it setting 4 was over kill in all my applications. I ending up having it on High all the time untill that was almost not hot enough to melt my solder in an effecient manner. Well instead of simply taking it apart and adjusting the flow valve I decided to unscrew just about every part I could find and put it back together and it shot a flame out about 2 feet...

graet lil torch
i bought this for doing car audio installs because my old 1 ran out of fuel after 2+ years...but it seems to work perfect for heating ring terminals and and soldiering wire in.also have used it to heat metal before painting to prevent orange peel ...over all for under $40 its a great deal also i got the fat bottle with mine
the thing i love most is that it is self lighting unlike my old 1 that i had to search for a lighter to use. great buy eas to used...wont do much good to heat old bolts or cut but small jobs it will take with ease
