Don't waste your time
I've been a self-employed contractor for 22 years. I have all bostitch pneumatic tools, some of them from 1990. They are typically tough tools. That said, this gun is a piece of junk. Don't waste your time. Some engineer decided to put a safety on the gun. Any misalignment and the safety has to be toggled off. A big waste of time. The entire crew was going to toss it. Do yourself a favor and get a brand that you can slide along the tongue and shoot. Also go with an 18ga staple for the laminate floor. The 1" 20ga staple is inadequate...and don't even bother trying it on bamboo. Oh yeah...the adjustable base plate is a plastic joke. If you put repeated pressure on it to seat the material it creeps out of adjustment. Very poor bostitch.
