The vacuum appears very well made. There are numerous "docks" for the attachments, so you can carry everything at once. The central carry-handle makes moving it easy. Suction is COLLOSSAL! Just received my Shop-Vac 5866100 8-Gallon 5.5-Peak HP Stainless Steel Wet/Dry Vacuum the other day. I was surprised when it arrived packaged only in the original showroom sales carton with no packing protection at all. Turned out, this was not really a problem, as it did arrive undamaged. I also bought at the same time the mini 2.5 peak HP vacuum. The small one arrived in a properly packed carton with padding. Also, the smaller one included more and better attachments than the larger one. Interesting, but no biggie.

The real kicker is that I can't notice any suction difference between the two units even though the larger one is rated 3 HP higher. Not happy with the suction of the larger unit. The problem is that it comes with a narrow 1.25 hose, nozzel and wands which are constantly jamming due mostly to the weak...

Among all of the desoldering stations I have looked at purchasing this one was by far the cheapest. I was a little wary about the price difference. I decided to try it out. I can say that I have used it for about 2+ hours straight with no problems desoldering several scrap project I had collected. I have used it a dozen or so times for quick rework since purchasing. Good Vacuum, vague assembly instructions, no attachments.
The Good:
Vacuum has great suction (and blowing) power. Simple, sturdy design. Milwaukee's (email) customer service is great.
The Bad:
Why did I need customer support? The assembly instructions don't specify which way to put on the wheels. Please DO NOT hammer the metal hub caps onto the wheels before FIRST fitting the assembly of the undercarriage on the lower rim of the metal body of the vacuum. The wheels only go on ONE way. Once the wheels are on inside out, it's EXTREMELY hard to pry the hub caps back off. Removal involves the metal blade of a spackling tool (to protect the soft plastic of the wheels), a screwdriver, safety goggles, and quite a bit of swearing. If you avoid putting the wheels on inside out, assembly is easy.
The Ugly:
When ordering the vacuum, I called amazon customer service to find out whether the vacuum will be delivered with attachments. The employee at amazon's call center read the website to me I was looking at (which didn't...
