Splits it like butter!!!
I found one of these used but still on the pallet unassembled, without electric start. Plus these things have a clutch that disengages the hydraulic pump, so pull starting is extremely easy.

I'm a good sized guy that likes to lift and can assure you assembly is a two-man job and the instructions are definitely less than clear. Putting that aside this thing is a monster! I used it to split about 8 cord last season and it split everything I've thrown at it with ease (like even knurly twisted green trunk stumps over 30" diameter), and given the lower price point relative to other professional level machines, the cycle time on the ram isn't horrible either. Obviously if you want to spend 5 or 6 grand on a Timberwolf, you'll get a better machine but that's a lot of dough.

My only two complaints on this machine are; 1) the ram doesn't slid inside a form fitted protective cover on retraction to assist with removing jammed wood on the ram so just be prepared with...
