Wonderful back-saver / Bad delivery
If you split your own firewood, this is a great tool to have. The electric start is definitely worth the extra money over a rotary start engine. I also bought the add-on four-way splitter head, which has proved to be a timesaver. Two bad things: (1) It came unassembled and packed in a crate. The vendor did NOT tell me that assembly was required. It took my son, an accomplished mechanic, two full days to assemble it. (2) I paid extra for "liftgate delivery," meaning that the delivery driver would offload it, supposedly at my door or in my driveway, instead of my having to have someone on hand to offload it. The driver offloaded it at the STREET and left it there. It weighs close to a thousand pounds. I had to get help from someone with a trailer, winch, and block-and-tackle to move the crate to my garage driveway where it could be uncrated and assembled.
