Great saw, excellent batteries
I'm a hobbyist woodworker and DIY'er. I've owned this saw for about 18 months. I think it is an excellent tool, and the kit is a great buy at the $300 price level. I love the fact it does not have a cord getting tangled up in the midst of making a long cut in sheet goods.

The reviewer who complained about the unavailability of batteries is simply wrong. The two batteries that came with my saw are model DC9280. Google that DeWalt model and you'll find lots of them available. Moreover, I believe you can have the batteries rebuilt with new cells. Batteries Plus does it for most tool batteries, but I haven't asked them about this model specifically. If you're concerned about it, check it out. My batteries go longer on a charge than I anticipated, and they produce plenty of power when cutting.
