This saw is almost entirely made of plastic
Almsot everything on this saw is made of plastic. After one month of daily use the depth gauge adjuster wore out. After 2 months the the bevel gauge adjuster wore out. It is very lite and the design is ok, but the materials are cheap. Don't count on this saw for daily use.

I acutally built a deck for one of the VP's at Ridgid who marketed this saw. He asked how I liked the saw and I showed him the broken/worn-out parts. He basically said it was the customers fault, everything was Chinese plastic in order to control costs.
