Im a heavy equiptment mechanic by day and at home do lots of side work on cars, when I saw this thing on my local snap on truck I was intrigued. In my shop I didnt think it would work out since we have oxy-acetaline torches and they do a fine job, but at home where torches are impractical I knew it would be perfect.
I had purchased a mini-ductorII about a week ago and I have to say this is the coolest tool I have ever bought it works great, first thing I used it on was an egr tube on an older ford explorer, within the tools 2 minute duty cycle it heated the tubes nut to red hot with out setting the truck ablaze in my driveway. I used it again to heat up all the manifold studs. It will heat up a small bolt red in literally seconds larger stuff obviously takes longer but works all the same.
After seeing it work so well at home I brought it to work for some heavy jobs it works perfect for heating up hydraulic cylinder rod with out damaging the chrome which happens all to...
