Good for the right applications
I can't justify spending very much money on a circular saw. I'm a part-time remodeler, not a professional carpenter, so take that caveat for what its worth. I can't justify the money for a worm-drive saw, especially since they're so much heavier. The circular saw isn't a tool I use very often for really heavy-duty applications anyway. The miter saw and sawzall both get considerably more use. For most applications with dry wood and non-beveled cuts, this saw has more than enough power.
