This review is about the 12 inch Ridgid thickness planer we bought new from Home Depot about three years ago. It was missing parts. From the get go the company was impossible to reach or get any replies from. I WAS SUCKED INTO THIS PURCHASE BY THE GREAT PEOPLE AT HOME DEPOT. I mean that sincerely since the store people have always been the best and as a result I had no reason not to trust them. Unfortunately the lifetime warranty they sold me on isn't worth didly nor is RIDGID for that matter. The machine was missing parts. Trying to contact any live person at RIDGID was an impossibility. Getting a reply was totally fruitless. I was ready to return the machine when the people at Home Depot replaced the missing parts at the store so we had a complete machine. This should have told me something about RIDGID. A month ago I brought the machine in for repairs as it stopped working abruptly and the store people asked for repair charge authorization. I said we had a lifetime warranty...
