Compact, Powerful Body and Dual-Mode Versatility
The Festool RO 150 FEQ showcases the unique combination of an easy-to-handle 5-pound body with a versatile 6-inch pad, and a powerful 720-watt, dual-mode design that's capable of handling big jobs from start to finish.

It offers an aggressive, gear-driven rotary mode for rapid stock removal. This high-torque, low-rpm mode offers a removal rate similar to what you would expect from a belt sander or an angle grinder. However, since it utilizes a rotary orbital sanding stroke to achieve those results, you end up with significantly higher surface quality. The rotary mode is also well suited to polishing, and it leaves surfaces hologram-free.

When you're ready to put a fine finish on a work piece, simply flip the mode switch and the RO 150 FEQ becomes a random orbital sander capable of delicate, swirl-free work.

The RO 150 FEQ is designed to offer a variety of grip options that minimize user fatigue, and it comes with an auxiliary handle that provides additional control when performing aggressive sanding operations.

Convenient Design Protects Surfaces and Saves Time
With the included edge protector--a protective bumper guard--you can use the RO 150 FEQ to sand right up to the edge of a work area without worrying about damaging adjacent surfaces. This guard also prevents jolting when sanding close to walls or edges, protecting your target surface and keeping you in control.

And when it's time to switch modes or replace a worn pad, the sander's FastFix tool-free pad design allows you to transition quickly, minimizing downtime and keeping your work flow smooth.

MMC Electronics and Enclosed Gear Box for Extended Tool Life
Different applications place different demands on your tools, and the RO 150 FEQ's advanced MMC (multi-material control) electronics provide equally good results when working with a variety of materials. It offers soft starts that won't harm your work surface, the ability to maintain constant speeds under heavy loads, and step-less variable speed control from 3,300 to 6,800 opm in eccentric-orbit mode, and from 320 to 660 rpm in rotary-orbit mode. And its electronic system includes thermal and overload protection, extending the life of the sander.

Plus, its gear box is completely sealed, which keeps dust out of the gear and bearing unit and allows the tool to stand up to even the toughest applications.

In addition, this Rotex sander features a Plug-It power cord. This interchangeable cord design allows you to quickly switch between Festool tools without changing your entire setup.

Integrated Dust Extraction Improves Work Environment
Due to its unique Jetstream pad design, the dependable RO 150 FEQ also offers near-complete dust extraction. This efficient setup allows the sander to capture dust as soon as it is created. The result of this improved extraction is cleaner air for a healthier work environment, better finishes on sensitive surfaces, and longer abrasive and pad life--not to mention quicker cleanups.

The RO 150 FEQ also incorporates a removable extraction channel, which allows you to streamline the tool for tasks like polishing where dust extraction is less critical.

The Festool RO 150 FEQ Rotex Sander is backed by a three-year limited warranty and a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Dust free. Fast, but not magically fast.
The thing that's most cool about these Festool sanders is that
you can literally work without a dust mask with no problems. I
have sanded for hours using the Rotex without a dust mask. My
sinuses get irritated by wood dust fairly easily, but wearing
a respirator is irritating too.

Even though all the woodworking authorities are going to tell
you to always wear a dust mask, a lightweight mask doesn't work
too well and a real respirator makes you feel like Darth Vader.
So, as a practical matter I don't wear a mask when working with
wood as often as I should... which is why it's a good thing I
have the Rotex sander. Mine is an earlier version than the
current model, with a less-sleek appearance and no knuckle guard.

I haven't used the Rotex with the knuckle guard but I'm suspicious
because I have a habit of steering the sander by the strain reliever
on the cord. This may strike you as a funny habit, but...
