My old hatch actuator was getting slow and eventually started blowing the 20Amp dash panel fuse - a web search turned up this unit as the "updated" version since Warner has been sold and the 1999/2000 unit is long obsolete. Replaced with this new unit and it now runs up and down without any trouble. If replacing the Searay 340DA 2000 installation, you will need the 5" extension on the end of the old unit, so do not discard that. I cut the supplied connector off and just used yellow shrink-tube butt connectors (boat wiring is larger than motor wiring so you could use step-down yellow/blue connectors but I just double the smaller guage over the larger and crimp them together on one side of the butt connector - then use a larger black shrinktube over that with a heat gun to wrap this up - then wire-tie and you're done with electricals. Easy install, 20 minutes upside down over the port engine to complete wiring and 10 minutes in the bilge for mechanicals - basically 3 bolts - sockets...
